Expert Review: Dive Palm Springs
Dive Palm Springs, a Michelin Key One-Keys property, consistently garners high praise for its intimate and luxurious experience, often described as a tranquil escape in the heart of Palm Springs.
1. Overall Rating & Sentiment
Dive Palm Springs enjoys an exceptional overall rating, frequently described as "wonderful" and a "true gem." Guests consistently highlight a chill, relaxing vibe and a sense of paradise. The Michelin Key One-Key designation itself signifies a "very special stay," recognizing hotels that offer unique characteristics and a memorable experience.
2. Key Highlights
Guests are particularly drawn to the hotel's unique 1960s St. Tropez-inspired design and atmosphere. The adults-only policy is a significant draw, fostering a serene and glamorous environment without children. The restored original Libott pool, accessible 24/7, is a major highlight, alongside lush grounds, comfortable lounging spots, and a 12-person hot tub. Complimentary breakfast and a free rosé at check-in are also frequently appreciated amenities. The property is noted for its very photogenic nature and thoughtful touches throughout.
3. Room Quality
The rooms at Dive Palm Springs are consistently described as very nice, comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed. Each of the 11 rooms is designed with a timeless St. Tropez style, featuring bright and airy spaces with original murals, premium linens, and rainfall showers. Many rooms include private patios, often with oversized daybeds, and some even boast private hot tubs. The "La Reve" room, for instance, is noted for its custom ceiling mural, Christian Lacroix wallpaper, and a solid brass queen bed with a comfortable Tuft and Needle mattress. A recurring point for some guests is the absence of televisions in the rooms, which some consider a positive for encouraging outdoor enjoyment, while others miss the option for in-room entertainment.
4. Dining Experience
While Dive Palm Springs does not have a full-service restaurant, it offers a complimentary continental breakfast. The breakfast is often described as great, though some guests have noted a lack of vegan options. For lunch, a poolside menu is available, featuring items like "Poolside Chips & Dips," "Plat de Provence," and various tartines and charcuterie plates. The location is also convenient to numerous dining options in Palm Springs, and the staff are happy to provide recommendations.
5. Service & Staff
The service at Dive Palm Springs receives overwhelmingly positive feedback. Guests frequently commend the staff for being phenomenal, friendly, professional, welcoming, and consistently going above and beyond. Specific mentions of team members like Michelle and Nayeli highlight their efforts in making stays special. The hospitality is often described as personal and intimate, with staff treating guests like friends visiting their home.
6. Location & Accessibility
Located in Palm Springs South, specifically the Deepwell Estates neighborhood, Dive Palm Springs offers a prime location. It is just a short 10-minute drive from Palm Springs International Airport (PSP). The hotel is within walking distance or a short drive to various iconic landmarks and attractions, including the Palm Springs Walk of Stars, Moorten Botanical Garden and Cactarium, and Indian Canyons Golf Resort. The neighborhood itself is considered fantastic for walks or runs. The property also offers accessible designated parking, ramp access to the lobby, and wheelchair-accessible common areas and a specific accessible room (Room #9) with roll-in showers and other features.
7. Value & Pricing
Dive Palm Springs offers a luxurious experience, and its pricing reflects this. With an average room price of around $314, it is positioned as a high-end option in Palm Springs, compared to the city's average of $217. Despite being pricier than some alternatives, many guests feel it offers exceptional value for a high-end experience without being "break-the-bank" expensive. Nightly rates have been observed to range from approximately $197 to $349, with November being the cheapest month and February being the most expensive. The unique design, attentive service, adults-only atmosphere, and quality amenities contribute to the perceived value.
8. Common Complaints
While overwhelmingly positive, some minor points of criticism occasionally arise:
- Pricing: Some guests note that it "can be pricey" and "doesn't usually have deals."
- No Televisions in Rooms: The absence of TVs in rooms is a deliberate design choice but can be a con for some guests who prefer in-room entertainment.
- Limited Dedicated Parking: Dedicated parking can be limited.
- No Nighttime Attendant/Restaurant: The property does not have a nighttime attendant for late-night service or a full-service restaurant beyond breakfast and poolside lunch.
- Limited Pool Seating: With only one pool, seating around it can sometimes be limited.
- No Vegan Options at Breakfast: At least one guest mentioned a lack of vegan options at the continental breakfast.

The post picture-perfect hotel I’ve ever stayed at. There are 13 beautifully appointed suites all decorated differently. The courtyard features a swimming pool, sauna, hot tub and cold plunge. The little shop and restaurant have everything you need. Plus their breakfast is free and has enough choices for everyone. It’s well located and perfect if you’re looking for a quaint oasis just a 15 minute ...

This was the cutest boutique hotel I have ever stayed in! Found it on hotels.com and the google reviews were 👌. It exceeded expectations! From the moment we walked thru the gate we were out of the bustle of the city and could relax in a quiet sanctuary. We had a wonderful time at Dive Palm Springs. Room #1 was fantastic. The service was exceptional, and the pool/common area is a dream. The staff was so pleasant. The only thing I'd warn about is that Room #1 had many mosquitoes throughout our stay. Not sure if anything can be done about that, but just FYI! Dive is an excellent boutique hotel. Great trip.

My daughter and I decided to take trip to Palm Springs. I googled boutique hotels and this came up. I booked a room by checking availability on Google. I picked a room and booked it. This bypasses the main page that tells you this is a 21+ hotel. The rooms are cute, the location is adorable, the staff are friendly. However, my daughter is obviously not 21. When I checked in online, it only asked ...
