8. Common Complaints

While overwhelmingly positive, some minor criticisms have been noted. One review mentioned that the decor in certain newer sections of the hotel might lean towards a "simplistic" or "minimalistic" style, potentially lacking the unique personality found in the original "La Bastide" area, and expressed concern that some design choices might not age as well. Additionally, while Bonnieux village is a short walk away, the hilly terrain might be challenging for some, and a hotel shuttle is suggested. One guest also noted a temporary lack of a boulangerie in Bonnieux village.

Very disappointing experience overall. We stayed here in August for our honeymoon and while the property is beautiful, the service leaves MUCH to be desired, for a supposed 5 star resort. Service by either pool is nearly nonexistent, if you see a staff member (they appear roughly every hour or so) you need to get up and chase them down to place a food or drink order, which of course, takes too lo...

The Capelongue hotel was amazing! We stayed there last July and couldn't have picked a better place. Along with the great service, rooms, and property, Elise helped me organize a surprise proposal coming from the US. She was extremely responsive and helped with finding a local photographer, planning a special reservation, and having flowers delivered. I highly recommend this hotel and really appr...

1. Great location with breathtaking views of the Luberon. 2. The rooms are cozy and stylish, fully conveying the spirit of Provence. 3. There are not many guests, so you can settle in comfortably and enjoy the silence. 4. Spa and service at a high level - a real rest for the soul and body. 5. Be sure to visit the Michelin restaurant - do not deny yourself this pleasure!

Disappointing Service Despite The hotel itself is overpriced given the service left us disappointed. Upon arrival, no one gave us a tour of the property, nor did we receive a map or any guidance. We didn’t know there was another pool, where breakfast was served, or when it was available. Since we only stayed one night, we completely missed out on many amenities simply because no information was p...

This has been a fantastic stay! Two nights with pure nature, serenity, and architectural beauty. The lap pool was incredible and cool with great pool service. Their Cafe Frappe is fantastic! The restaurant overlooks the most beautiful sunset with live music. Not to mention their sublime estate with provence-like houses for the rooms! What a great stay.
