8. Common Complaints

While overall feedback is very positive, a few recurring issues have been noted:

  • Parking: The private parking on-site, which costs EUR 19 per day, has received some criticism. Some guests find the mechanical multi-story parking system challenging due to height and width restrictions, advising others to consider alternative hotels if traveling by car.
  • Pillows: A specific complaint mentioned plastic pillows with covers that don't fully conceal them, leading to an uncomfortable tactile experience.
  • Spa Temperature: One guest found the steam room in the spa to be too hot.
  • Perceived Downgrade in Luxury: A few older reviews suggest a slight shift from a "classic luxury hotel" to a "mainstream 4-star" feel, noting changes like the absence of white table linen for dinner or breakfast and a lack of luggage assistance upon arrival, which might not align with some 5-star expectations.
  • Breakfast Buffet Shortages: Occasionally, popular breakfast items like salami have been reported missing for guests arriving later.

A-Rosa is A-unique gem for this particular secluded treasure in the Baltic area Binz. I strong advise anyone looking to break the routine of small city breaks to search for options like this. The town is well preserved to the period, commerce and amenities are in high standard, and people are friendly. A-Rosa offers all of this in one place within a reasonable price. Few caveats, please keep in mi...

I recently had the opportunity to spend 10 days at the Travel Charme Kurhaus Binz, a hotel with a rich history and personality, located on the spectacular Rügen Island, specifically in the Binz area. This area is known for its large, clean, and well-maintained beach, and the hotel is perfectly situated in front of it. The rooms are spacious and well maintained, although there is room for improvem...

I had a great time in this hotel. The room was comfy & very clean. The breakfast diverse and delicious. Why 3 stars only ? Well, I found some of the staff a little bit not as I would expect from a hotel where I pay 300 euro per night. Very polite but they made me feel that simple requests are not normal. Example: I arrived by foot from the train station, it was so hot, the room not ready and so as...

Have been here a couple of times and really enjoy it here. Lovely hotel with very comfortable rooms. Breakfast is great and so is dining in the evening. Wonderful piano bar. Haven't been here in the high season though - I could imagine it being overrun in summer.

We did not plan to book a room with a bathtub as we thought all the rooms were equipped with a bathtub. However, the staff at the reception quickly and efficiently found a new room for us with a bathtub and got our luggage moved to our new room. Everywhere at the hotel we experienced a friendly and competent staff, especially in the restaurant where Michael Herud constantly made us feel very welco...

Wow, what a great place. The staff exceeds your expectations. And right on the beach. Check out the spa area. Thanks for an awesome stay. Great classic pictures on walls. These two in our room were funny together, kids and smoking, especially in a ‘spa’ hotel. Only in Germany.
