Guests consistently laud the hotel's superb location within the Old Town, its beautiful and unique interior and exterior, and the exceptional staff. The hotel's historical architecture, housed in three meticulously restored 14th-century merchant houses, offers a "quirky" yet charming atmosphere that transports guests back to the Middle Ages in style. The comfortable and spacious rooms, along with the friendly and helpful service, are frequently cited as standout features.

3. Room Quality

The 23 rooms and suites at The Three Sisters Hotel are individually designed, combining centuries-old beams, carved woodwork, and ceiling frescoes with modern comforts. Guests describe rooms as spacious, clean, and unique, offering a cozy and luxurious atmosphere. Each accommodation is individually furnished and decorated, featuring premium bedding, air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs with digital channels, free WiFi, and work desks. Bathrooms include bathrobes, slippers, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers, with some even offering roll-top or contemporary oval baths. Specific mentions include comfortable beds and sofas, temperature control, and hot water. Some rooms also offer balconies or garden views.

4. Dining Experience

Please note: According to recent information from Booking.com, the hotel's restaurant is currently closed, and breakfast is not offered.

Historically, The Three Sisters Hotel was known for its exceptional dining. Its restaurant, previously featuring a menu that creatively reimagined Baltic favorites, was praised as "world-class" by some guests. Dishes ranged from beef tongue and parsnip foam to white fish with Jerusalem artichoke, often complemented by complimentary amuse-bouche and palate cleanser sorbets. The hotel also boasted a bar, Konyak, with a selection of over 60 varieties of cognac and an extensive wine list. A buffet breakfast was traditionally served every morning, and guests previously enjoyed the convenience of breakfast available until 18:00 in their room.

5. Service & Staff

The service and staff receive consistent accolades for being "exceptional," "super friendly," "polite, courteous and very helpful". Guests frequently highlight their attentiveness, knowledge, and willingness to go "above and beyond" to ensure a pleasant stay. Staff are noted for being fluent in English and providing warm hospitality. Many reviews mention a welcoming atmosphere from check-in to check-out.

6. Location & Accessibility

The hotel's location is a major draw, situated on Pikk Street within the 16th-century walls of Tallinn's Old Town. It's described as being "perfect" and "central but quiet," offering a peaceful retreat while being incredibly convenient for exploring the city. Key attractions such as St. Olaf's Church (0.08 km), Estonian Maritime Museum (0.07 km), Town Hall Square (6-minute walk), and the Port of Tallinn (13-minute walk) are all within easy walking distance. The modern city center and ferry terminals are also easily reachable by foot. For those arriving by air, Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport is approximately 4 km away, a 10-minute drive, and airport shuttle services are available. The hotel offers parking spaces for guests.

7. Value & Pricing

With prices starting from around US$82 and often seen in the range of $76 to $148 per night for various room types (based on February 2026 data), guests generally find the hotel to offer an outstanding blend of quality and value. The cheapest deals can often be found during the low season, particularly in February and September, with prices varying depending on the day of the week. While considered a luxury boutique hotel, many feel it's worth the cost for the unique experience, exceptional service, and prime location.

8. Common Complaints

While overwhelmingly positive, some minor criticisms have been noted by guests. These include occasional mentions of noise from the street, particularly during high season, though some found it nice and quiet in the off-season. Some guests have also noted minor issues with decor or a desire for more "modern day creature comforts" like an intercom from the room to reception, though these are generally not considered significant drawbacks. One review mentioned the shower being in the bathtub, which might be a slight accessibility concern for some.

Nice, unique "new" old hotel. The building is from the 1400's but interior has been modernize. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom had an standalone tub shower combination. Good hot water flow. Staff was very friendly and helpful. On second floor and helped carry one bag up. Location was great for exploring the old city.

Wonderful hotel with a unique historical charm. We stayed in a suite, which was spacious, tastefully furnished, and very comfortable. The only downside was the lack of a fridge in the room—it wasn’t possible to keep drinks cold or store perishable items. That aside, everything else was excellent. The location in Old Tallinn, with its fairytale-like atmosphere, made the stay even more special. I de...

A boutique experience to write home about. The rooms are very comfortable, we had one on the top floor with our bed in the loft, a balcony that looked out into old town and a sky light. There is a mini fridge, Nespresso machine and kettle to allow you to make the most of your balcony. Very clean, very nice staff, would confidently return when in Tallinn.

Happy to recommend the Three Sisters Hotel in Tallinn. Bed is super comfy, pillows are divine. Loved the location, we walked from the central station, about ten minutes through a beautiful park. At the edge of the Old Town, making it a quieter area yet only a short stroll to shops cafes and restaurants. Shower is in the bath tub (which is great) so it might be hard for some people to get in & out ...

The building is lovely and hotel and room were very neat and cozy. Location in a quiet street of the old medieval town was perfect. Reception staff were helpful - but reception closed at 9 pm already and only opened at 9-10 am. Please note that breakfast and dinner is not currently available due to restaurant being refurbished. No food or drink at reception, and no minibar in the room. No heating ...
