We booked two rooms for a weekend and the rooms were fantastic, really high ceilings and very spacious and comfortable. The staff were all really engaging, but the cherry on the cake was that they offered us the use of a wheelchair for the weekend for my elderly mother - she wouldn't have seen as much of York if we hadn't have had it.
