2. Key Highlights
Guests consistently rave about several aspects of the St Alban Hotel & Spa:
- Design & Ambiance: The hotel boasts a contemporary wood and stone exterior that seamlessly integrates with the traditional Savoyard village, while its interiors are inspired by Art Deco, creating a sophisticated, cozy, and unique atmosphere reminiscent of an English club. Soft lighting, luxurious leather chairs, and book-lined walls contribute to this refined aesthetic.
- Service & Staff: The staff receives continuous commendation for being incredibly friendly, helpful, thoughtful, responsive, and polite. Their accommodating and welcoming nature is a recurring theme in guest feedback.
- Spa & Wellness: The 250m² Nuxe Spa, featuring an indoor pool, sauna, sensory showers, ice room, and relaxation area with a salt wall, is a significant draw, often described as excellent for relaxing after a day on the slopes.
- Location: The hotel's location is consistently praised for being both central and convenient, within walking distance of the village center, shops, and restaurants. It also offers easy access to the ski slopes, with some lifts a short walk away and a complimentary shuttle service provided.
- Amenities: Free high-speed Wi-Fi, a well-appointed lounge bar, an in-house ski shop for equipment rental, ski storage, and ski pass sales points are highly appreciated. The hotel also offers fun features like net reading nooks in family suites and a library with board games in the bar area.
3. Room Quality
The rooms at St Alban Hotel & Spa are described as comfortable, beautifully decorated, and designed with both Alpine tradition and boutique-hotel minimalism in mind. They feature warm wood, wenge stained oak parquet flooring, aged leather, and marble accents, creating a cozy and elegant "cocoon" atmosphere. Guests appreciate the thick, cozy comforters and quality bedding. All rooms offer mountain views and come equipped with a TV, safe, hairdryer, mini-bar, kettle, Nespresso machine, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Various room types are available, including classic, superior, deluxe, and family rooms, some with balconies or loggias.
4. Dining Experience
While the hotel does not operate a full-service restaurant for evening meals, it excels in other dining aspects:

- Bathroom Setup: A few guests have found the bathroom setup to be inconvenient.
- View from some suites: One guest noted that while their suite was gorgeous, the view of an adjacent parking lot and associated noise was unfortunate.
- Bar Prices: Some guests have found the bar to be expensive.

Stayed for the 2nd time - the hotel staff and the way they organised the amenities/services are incredible: shuttle bus to slopes, breakfast service, cake hour, board games, all day SPA and so much more. Truly hats off to all staff - 5 (yes, hotel is only 4!) stars is an understatement for the level of service. May your stars shine bright over the Alps ✨

Good service, breakfast and afternoon tea with freshly made cakes. The staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and have a great view on the mountains around La Cluzas. Safe room to store cycles in the cellar which the staff pays close attention to. Coffee and tea facilities in the room and at the reception. Nicely decorated interior.

The hotel is really great, good ambiance, staff is extremely helpful and polite, breakfast was appropriate and the rooms and decoration are on spot. This is not a 5 out of 5 review since the spa was a bit of a let down. The swimming pool was quite cold, no guest dared to use it and there was no jacuzzi. But other than that, I highly recommend it!

Breakfast was absolutely amazing. 5 stars for the bacon alone, best bacon I ever had.

Nice and well decorated hotel. Great location in the town’s centre. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Free coffee, tea and water in the lobby. The hotel even has a few parking spaces in front of the hotel, free of charge. Rooms are okay, but not what I expected. Fairly small and not as well finished as the pictures suggest. Sound proofing could be better. Everything is very clean though and the...
