This 5-star superior hotel is celebrated as an oasis of well-being, providing an unforgettable experience for both golfers and spa enthusiasts alike.

1. Overall Rating & Sentiment

The overall sentiment for Spa & Golf Hotel Weimarer Land is overwhelmingly positive, with guests frequently describing it as a haven of excellence and a serene retreat. Review scores are exceptionally high across various platforms, reflecting consistent satisfaction with its facilities and service. The Michelin Key Two-Keys designation itself signifies an "exceptional stay" with "premier service and design," highlighting the hotel's outstanding quality and unique character.

2. Key Highlights

Guests particularly commend the hotel's expansive 3,000 m² LindenSpa, featuring indoor and outdoor pools, a whirlpool, an extensive sauna world (including panorama, aroma steam, lime blossom, salt, and earth wall saunas, and a graduation tower), relaxation rooms, and a wide array of treatments. Another major draw is the spectacular 45-hole golf course, offering multiple 18-hole combinations (Goethe, Feininger, and Bobby Jones Champion Courses) set against a stunning natural backdrop. The hotel's culinary scene, with two Michelin-starred restaurants, is also a significant highlight. Furthermore, its family-friendly approach, including a 140 m² playhouse, Kids' Club activities, and free child supervision, makes it appealing for guests of all ages.

3. Room Quality

The 94 rooms and suites, available in eight different categories and ranging up to 120 square meters, are described as elegant, traditional, and cozy, designed for utmost comfort. Many rooms feature large and comfortable beds, satellite TV, a desk, and a seating area. Some higher-category options, such as the Wellness Suites and larger suites, boast rustic furnishings, freestanding bathtubs, and even saunas, offering unique views of the golf courses and the Thuringian Forest. While most rooms are carpeted, guests appreciate the well-maintained condition and generous balconies in many accommodations. Bathrooms in lower categories might be on the smaller side. Instead of traditional minibars, vending machines are conveniently located on the corridors for guest use.

4. Dining Experience

The Spa & Golf Hotel Weimarer Land offers a diverse and high-quality dining experience across its seven restaurants. Culinary highlights include two Michelin-starred establishments: "Masters," renowned for its Modern French and International 5-course menus by Chef Danny Schwabe, and "The First," presenting Italian-influenced 5-course menus by Chef Marcello Fabbri. Other dining options cater to various tastes, such as the rustic "GolfHütte" with seasonal cuisine, the "KornKammer" offering regional and international specialties and light bites, the "LindenBistro" serving Mediterranean-Moroccan cuisine for spa guests, and the cozy "Augusta" with its show kitchen. The breakfast buffet receives particular acclaim for being rich, excellent, and featuring regional specialties, organic free-range eggs, and Thuringian sausage. Coffee, cakes, and cocktails are also available throughout the day at the stylish bar and coffee shop.

The A4 motorway is about 11 km distant, and free on-site parking is readily available. The surrounding area is ideal for outdoor activities like hiking. The nearest train station is Bad Berka (5.5 km), and Erfurt–Weimar Airport is approximately 45.6 km away.

7. Value & Pricing

Despite being a luxury 5-star superior property with Michelin-starred dining and extensive spa and golf facilities, the Spa & Golf Hotel Weimarer Land is often perceived as offering "exceptional value" and "affordable luxury". The average room price hovers around $372 (or €335.22 in the past month), comparable to the average hotel room price in Blankenhain, making it a compelling choice for discerning travelers. Special arrangements and packages, such as the "Golf & Spa" offer, can start from around €643 per person for a two-night stay, including half-board and wellness vouchers. Prices may vary and can be higher on weekends. The Michelin Key Two-Keys designation also affirms that the hotel delivers "excellent value for the price".

8. Common Complaints

While guest feedback is predominantly positive, a few minor criticisms have been noted. One recurring concern among some guests is the potential for the spa area to become lively with children, describing it at times as a "children's fun pool with balls, screaming and naked baby swimming," which might detract from the tranquility desired by some adult guests. Another isolated complaint mentioned a "bad smell" in a room. Some reviews also indicate that bathrooms in the lower room categories can be quite small. While most sources indicate free Wi-Fi, one rating on Booking.com for "Free Wifi" was 7.6, suggesting that its quality or accessibility might not be universally excellent, or it could refer to specific areas.

I loved their spa and their gym. There was a lack of fresh air where the mats are, but I liked the facilities. The massage was horrible! We had a short massage on the 2nd day and a one-hour massage on the 3rd day. The young man who gave me the massage – it was the worst massage I’ve ever received and I paid 150 euros (not sure, some honey massage). He definitely doesn’t know how to massage; he has...

I am a member here at the golf resort, and it's absolutely amazing. The courses as well as the scenery plus all the staff are amazing, great golf coaches, and pga professionals. Would highly recommend it if you want to golf or stay at the spa and enjoy a nice massage. They also have an indoor trackman to track your shots and whatnot. The food is amazing as well. 5 stars from me.

Hotel also has warm swimming pool outside even during winter. Personally I would come bac...

We found the hotel as ideal and iddylic place to stay. Hotel is elegant is elegant and quiet, with all facilities in a very good conditions. Located "in the middle of nowhere", what is a big plus, as this is a guarantee of silence. But you need not more than 1 hour to reach other interesting places around such as Erfurt or Weimar. All three hotel's restaurants (one is located in the neighbourhoud ...
