However, some personal reviews have suggested that, when compared to other high-end alpine resorts, the perceived value for the premium price might occasionally be questioned, particularly concerning specific spa aspects or ski infrastructure efficiency.

8. Common Complaints

While generally highly rated, a few recurring criticisms have been noted:

  • Spa Pool Temperature: Several guests, especially those on ski holidays, found the water in the indoor pool to be too cold, diminishing the desired indulgent and restorative spa experience.
  • Ski Lift Queues: Some guests felt that long waiting lines at the ski lifts outside the hotel could detract from the overall luxury feel of a ski holiday.
  • Room Issues: Minor issues like a specific room being "a little bit dark because of a wall", occasional unpleasant smells from showers, and rooms being too hot without effective temperature control have been mentioned.
  • Limited Gym Facilities: Some reviews mentioned the gym facilities as being limited.
  • Nudity in Spa: One guest expressed a personal dislike for the full nudity policy in the spa, though acknowledged it is common.
  • Noise Levels: While the hotel is generally a calm retreat, some rooms facing the village's bars and clubs could potentially experience noise if windows are open.

Luxury hotel at the bottom of the slopes - ski right to hotel. Gondola just a few steps away for the morning ride up. Great accommodations and nice spa. Breakfast was excellent with made-to-order choices and large buffet. Dinners were very good (not many dinner options in town). Convenient having ski rental in hotel. Staff very friendly and eager to answer any questions.
