Review platforms highlight strong ratings across the board: cleanliness often scores 9.6, location 9.5-9.9, facilities 9.3-9.5, comfort 9.3, and service/staff 9.2-9.6. This feedback underscores its reputation as a world-class resort that blends rustic charm with modern elegance.
2. Key Highlights
Guests consistently rave about several standout features:
- Location: Perched directly above the majestic 268-foot Snoqualmie Falls, the lodge offers unparalleled, awe-inspiring views from many rooms, restaurants, and outdoor spaces.
- Spa: The award-winning spa is a significant draw, featuring soaking pools, a dry sauna, steam room, and a range of treatments that often incorporate local honey from the lodge's apiary and herbs from its garden.
- Dining: Both the fine-dining experience in The Dining Room and the more casual atmosphere of The Attic receive high acclaim, particularly for their Pacific Northwest-inspired cuisine and the legendary "Honey from Heaven" service.
- Amenities & Design: The property boasts a contemporary-rustic interior design, with thoughtful touches like gas fireplaces in every room and luxurious bedding. Upgrading to the Spa Level is frequently recommended for enhanced amenities and access to exclusive areas.
3. Room Quality
Salish Lodge offers 86 to 89 elegantly renovated guestrooms that reflect the tranquil Pacific Northwest environment. The rooms are designed for comfort and luxury, featuring:
- Comfort: Premium mattresses with gel memory foam, extra-thick plush top quilting, and high-quality Parachute feather bedding, complemented by a pillow menu. Guests often describe the beds as incredibly comfortable.
- Design: Interiors blend contemporary and rustic elements with locally crafted furnishings, natural textures, warm woods, and organic fabrics.
- Features: All rooms include gas fireplaces, and deluxe bathrooms offer a choice of large spa-like showers with dual showerheads or oversized soaking tubs. Many rooms also come with balconies, patios, or window seats, with river views being highly sought after. Copper kettles and pour-over coffee service add to the in-room luxury.
4. Dining Experience
The culinary offerings at Salish Lodge are a highlight for many guests.
- The Dining Room: This elegant restaurant provides panoramic views of Snoqualmie Falls and serves Pacific Northwest-inspired cuisine. The menu emphasizes local, seasonally-driven ingredients, including dry-aged beef from Royal Ranch, responsibly sourced seafood, and a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
- The Attic: A more casual and cozy option, The Attic also boasts views of the falls and is known for its artisanal pizzas and drinks crafted with Salish's homemade honey.
- Breakfast: The legendary four-course Country Breakfast, historically served to nourish mountain travelers, is a memorable experience. A signature offering is the "Honey from Heaven" service, where honey from the lodge's own beehives is drizzled onto warm buttermilk biscuits. A la carte breakfast options are also available.
- Other: Room service is offered, and there's a Chef's Studio for guests interested in culinary learning experiences.

6. Location & Accessibility
Salish Lodge's most distinguishing feature is its dramatic location directly atop Snoqualmie Falls.
- Neighborhood & Attractions: The lodge is a tranquil retreat just 30 minutes east of Seattle, offering a peaceful escape amidst the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Beyond the falls, guests can enjoy scenic hiking trails, fishing, and in winter, skiing at nearby Snoqualmie Pass. The lodge also holds significance as a filming location for the TV show "Twin Peaks."
- Transport: Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is approximately 45 minutes away by car. Driving is the most common and quickest option. Public bus services are available from Seattle but involve transfers and take longer (around 1.5 to 3 hours). The hotel offers valet parking and free self-parking.
7. Value & Pricing
Salish Lodge and Spa is positioned as a luxury destination, and its pricing reflects this. Typical nightly rates for rooms average between $452 and $540, although some rooms can be found starting from $261 to $301 depending on the season and room type. Despite the higher price point, many guests perceive it as "worth it" for the unparalleled location, world-class amenities, and exceptional service. Value for money ratings generally fall in the 7.6-8.0 out of 10 range across various review platforms.
8. Common Complaints
While overwhelmingly positive, a few recurring criticisms can be noted:
- Pricing: The primary complaint centers on the high cost of a stay, with some guests feeling that certain room types, particularly those without direct falls views or the "cheapest" options, could be larger for the price.
- Room Size (for some categories): Some guests have expressed that certain rooms, especially non-patio or standard rooms, were not as spacious as anticipated for the price paid.
- Dining Variety: One guest mentioned wishing for a wider selection in the restaurant, though they acknowledged good portions.
- Historical Note (COVID-19): In September 2020, there was a COVID-19 outbreak linked to the lodge, affecting staff and guests, leading to a temporary closure and public health recommendations for testing. This is a historical event and not a current recurring complaint.

My boyfriend pampered me with a couples stay and a massage. Staff were very friendly, quick, professional, helpful and kind. The resort, room and amenities were flawless and well maintained—which feels like a unique experience these days! I felt rested and enjoyed my stay. The resorts shops also had really unique PNW local gifts! Thank you for the quiet weekend!

Kicking off birthday weekend with awesomeness! Celebrating my next level with my bestie and an incredible breakfast at The Salish. Delicious, decadent, savory and a feast for the eyes as well. I enjoyed the corn beef hash, she enjoyed a crab Benedict. Coffee was a whole amazing presentation thing (chantillí cream!) and the no alcohol mimosas were divine! Overall a most delightful start to what I...

Every part of the service was excellent—valet, hosts, and especially the servers, who handled our party of 10+ with calm, kindness, and genuine attentiveness. We came during their Christmas celebration, which made the visit even more special. The complimentary hot chocolate was a...

The best self-pampering luxury wonderful hotel experience I've ever had. We used a hot tub room with a cold plunge, we got facials, the food was absolutely delicious. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are so comfortable. I wish I lived there. The staff seems happy to be there and they are so kind and fun. And then of course the Snoqualmie falls are an experience on their own.
