1. Overall Rating & Sentiment

The Sabàtic Sitges Hotel generally receives an "Excellent" or "Superb" rating from guests, with an average of 4.6 out of 5 on Marriott and 8.9 out of 10 on Booking.com. The overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with guests frequently describing their stays as "amazing," "wonderful," "excellent," and "gorgeous." Many express a strong desire to return.

2. Key Highlights

Guests consistently laud the hotel's stylish design, impeccable cleanliness, and tranquil ambiance. The two outdoor pools, including an adults-only option, are significant draws, offering relaxing spaces. The well-equipped 24-hour fitness center is also appreciated. A notable highlight is the complimentary shuttle service, which conveniently transports guests to the town center and beaches. The hotel's unique activities, such as a vermouth experience, further enhance the guest experience.

3. Room Quality

The hotel exclusively features suites, which are described as unusually spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed with neutral tones. Each suite includes modern amenities such as air-conditioning, a private bathroom, mini-bar, flat-screen TV, and free WiFi. Many rooms boast private balconies, with some offering stunning sea views. Guests particularly appreciate the plush pillowtop mattresses with premium bedding, providing a luxurious sleep experience, and the soft bed linens and towels. Family rooms are also available, with options like sofa beds or bunk beds. Thoughtful touches like yoga mats and resistance bands have been noted in some rooms.

4. Dining Experience

The Sabàtic Sitges Hotel offers a delightful dining experience primarily at its Mediterranean restaurant, Pasatempo. Here, guests can enjoy Mediterranean cuisine for both lunch and dinner, with a focus on seasonal, healthy, and high-quality local products. The buffet breakfast, served daily, receives glowing reviews for its quality, variety, and numerous healthy options. There is also a poolside bar, offering refreshing drinks and snacks in a relaxed setting, and a coffee shop/café.

5. Service & Staff

The service and staff are consistently highlighted as one of the hotel's strongest assets. Guests frequently describe the team as friendly, professional, helpful, exceptional, and extremely attentive. Specific individuals have been praised for going above and beyond to ensure a great stay, from reception staff to those assisting with activities and transportation.

6. Location & Accessibility

Sabàtic Sitges Hotel is situated in the La Plana neighborhood, offering a quieter retreat a few minutes away from the bustling old town and waterfront. It's conveniently located less than 0.6 miles from L'Estanyol Beach, an 11 to 14-minute walk. The city center, with its shops, cafes, and restaurants, is also a short stroll or a 10-15 minute walk away. The hotel provides a highly efficient, free shuttle service to the beach and town, compensating for its slightly set-back location. Accessibility is further enhanced by its proximity to the Sitges train station, making day trips to Barcelona (about a 40-minute train ride) and other coastal towns straightforward. Barcelona-El Prat Airport is approximately 17 miles away.

7. Value & Pricing

While offering a luxurious experience, guests generally find the Sabàtic Sitges Hotel to be good value for money, despite some finding mini-bar items a bit pricey. Room rates typically start from around 162 euros per night for a double room or approximately S$218.10 for the cheapest room, depending on the season and booking platform.

8. Common Complaints

The most significant and recurring complaint among guests is the noise and obstructed views caused by ongoing construction on an adjacent property, particularly during weekdays. Some guests reported this noise could be heard from rooms and impacted the enjoyment of the pool area. Other minor criticisms include the mini-bar items being considered overpriced and occasional feedback that the hotel's shuttle bus times could be more flexible. One review also mentioned inconsistent shower water temperature and low water pressure.

Our family booked a two‑week stay at this hotel, and what should have been a quiet January break turned into one of the most humiliating experiences we have ever had in a Marriott property. During the second week, the staff asked if workers could enter our suite to perform a non‑urgent repair (replacing a glass panel). As the hotel was nearly empty and the work was neither essential nor time‑sens...

Really enjoyed our stay here. It was close enough to the waterfront to be convenient, but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. The construction was noticeable but not overwhelming. The food and beverage was delicious and Axel was great for recommendations and insight into the area. The room had a vintage modern feel, but was also warm and welcoming. Hope that we can visit again!

Our stay at Sabàtic Sitges was excellent overall. The staff were very professional and extremely attentive, and the atmosphere calm and elegant. Our suite was spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable, with a lovely terrace to relax on. Breakfast was great, and the location ideal—quiet yet close to the beach and town.

The Sabatic is a beautifully designed hotel with well appointed spacious rooms. Lovely reception area, bar, restaurant, and pool. The balcony was spacious, and the furniture was very comfortable for lounging or having a glass of wine. Great location with just a 15 minute walk down to the village center and beach. Very friendly and accommodating staff!

I really wanted to love this place, and maybe our experience was not indicative of the norm. But we found the staff to be lacking in their attention to detail, and we found the environment to be sterile and not particularly peaceful. The current construction (which, appears, will last a very long time) was fully disclosed and known about before we booked. However, it definitely impacted the stay. ...
