The sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with guests frequently using words like "charming," "adorable," "beautiful," and "luxurious" to describe their experience. The hotel is celebrated for its unique character and serene ambiance, making it a highly recommended stay in Regensburg.

2. Key Highlights

Guests consistently laud several aspects of Orphée Andreasstadel. The tranquil yet central location is a major draw, offering a quiet retreat with easy access to the old town. The individually designed, spacious rooms with their classic decor are frequently highlighted. The delightful in-room breakfast service and the exceptional hospitality of the staff also receive widespread acclaim. Some rooms also boast private patios overlooking the verdant riverbank, and all include kitchenettes, adding to the comfort and convenience.

3. Room Quality

The rooms at Orphée Andreasstadel are a significant highlight, described as stylish, classically decorated, and notably spacious. Many feature beautiful antique furniture, unique artwork, and a charming "old-world charm" with lovely wooden beams. Each room includes a satellite TV, a private bathroom, and a kitchenette. The comfort of the beds is often praised, contributing to a restful stay. Six of the ten rooms offer patios with views of the riverbank, providing a picturesque setting.

4. Dining Experience

The breakfast at Orphée Andreasstadel is a particular point of delight for guests, frequently described as "wonderful," "delicious," "amazing," and even "out of this world". It is delivered directly to the room and is noted for being "fully comprehensive and satisfying," typically including fresh croissants, good coffee, a variety of fruit, cold meats, and cheese. While the hotel itself doesn't have an on-site restaurant, its sister property, Restaurant Orphée – a highly authentic French bistro – is just a ten-minute walk away in the old city center.

5. Service & Staff

The staff at Orphée Andreasstadel consistently receive excellent feedback for their hospitality. Guests describe them as "friendly," "helpful," "welcoming," and "accommodating". While there isn't a traditional 24/7 reception, the check-in instructions are clear, and staff are available during morning hours.

6. Location & Accessibility

Orphée Andreasstadel enjoys an excellent location between the River Danube and the River Regen. It offers a quiet neighborhood setting, yet it's incredibly convenient, being just a 5 to 10-minute walk over a pedestrian bridge to Regensburg's historic old town. Key attractions such as Regensburg Cathedral and the Old Town Hall are approximately 600 meters away. Regensburg Main Station is about a 20-minute walk from the hotel. Private parking is available nearby for guests, costing approximately €10-15 per day.

7. Value & Pricing

While some guests have noted the pricing to be "pricey" or "a bit steep," the overall consensus suggests it is worth the cost for the quality of accommodation and experience provided. The Michelin Guide guarantees the best prices for direct bookings.

8. Common Complaints

Despite the overwhelmingly positive feedback, a few minor criticisms have been noted by guests. Some found the breakfast portion to be a bit small, while others mentioned that the beds in some rooms might be a bit small for two people. A recurring point is the absence of a traditional 24/7 reception, which can make the initial check-in process and parking arrangements seem a bit complicated, as instructions are often found in the room. Some large rooms were noted to lack comfortable seating options. While the classic decor is appreciated, one review suggested that some rooms might appear "a little dumpy," though this could be subjective and part of the intended style. The staff typically departs by 2 PM each day.

Have stayed here twice for business and once at the Orphee Landhaus. I loved the Andreasstadel for the quiet, comfortable and low key nature. Easy walking distance to most places in the "city", but it was the attention to detail and ease of staff that made this stay very enjoyable.

Breakfast is brought and dropped off outside your door on a tray. The parking area had 2 charging stations and they charged a low rate. Minus points: The quality of the breakfast was good, but the amount wa...
