The hotel feels more like a high-end 4-star rather than a true 5-star. The property is beautiful and the restaurant is very good (Panorama in particular, although it can be quite noisy due to children). However, if you are used to 5-star hotels, this one may feel disappointing. The main issue is the lack of attention from the staff. For example, on our first day the shower water was only lukewarm ...

We stayed two nights in the Sky House. It was a lovely and well appointed room. The fireplace with the sweeping views was just wonderful. The outdoor space with the heaters was fantastic as well. The hotel itself it beautiful with sweeping views. Breakfast is extensive and service attentive. Most staff were very accommodating. It was very pricy but worth the splurge.

I have mixed feelings about Miramonti Hotel. We first traveled to another 5-Star hotel in Brixen and were completely dazzled by that experience. Upon arrival in Merano, we were hoping for an equally pleasant experience at Miramonti. We were greeted with a welcome drink, our luggage was taken to our room, and our car was parked for us. Off to a great start, especially after having some Christmas b...
