Mama Ruisa is a gem of a hotel in beautiful Santa Teresa. The views of the city are spectacular, the garden and pool are utter peace, and the entire staff is welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. The hotel even has a cute little cat and dog, named Colette and Oscar, so animal lovers will feel right at home! Do yourself a serious favor and stay here when you visit Rio—you will not regret it.

This is a wonderful hotel to stay in with the best staff and in a great location in Santa Teresa, Rio. I stayed here an extra 2-weeks (3-weeks in total) as so loved my stay and didn’t want to move to anywhere else in Rio.
