Hotel Lydmar is a truly outstanding hotel with character and soul, and it’s easy to understand why it receives such excellent reviews. The combination of style, atmosphere, and service makes it one of the most memorable places to stay in Stockholm. The location is superb — right on the waterfront in the heart of the city, with beautiful views of the Old Town, the Royal Palace, and the harbor. Man...

This DOES NOT have a SAUNA. It’s an additional $85 to use it Nextdoor and it’s not even private. When booking this through American Express travel, it states there is a sauna available, mentions nothing about it costing extra, the gym ok. That’s the main reason I booked this hotel. Other wise it’s nice, but I wish I would have stayed somewhere else.

I’ve been returning to the Lydmar for over thirty years now, which means I’ve watched it age the way you watch certain friends age — with interest, occasional concern, and ultimately relief that they’ve figured something out. The original location near Stureplan was the rock and roll hotel before that became a category. Viktoria Tolstoy singing, Swedish photographers on the walls—all edges and en...

We absolutely loved this hotel. The design elements in the rooms and common areas were beautiful and the rooms were quiet and comfortable. It is in a very walkable location also with easy access to public transit. The breakfasts were ample and delicious!

A truly lovely boutique hotel! We visited during the winter and the roaring fireplaces and lanterns everywhere make this a lovely cozy venue. The suite was very comfortable with lovely decor. Breakfast was perfect with a lovely selection of locally sourced produce. We will definitely go back!

We only came to have a drink at the bar/restaurant. The interior is very beautiful but the bartender was honestly a bit cold/out of it, maybe she just wasn't having her day but it was noticable. Still a nice place to go to, regardless if you are a guest or not.
