This is not a 5 star hotel. Everything about this experience has been disappointing. We have stayed at many other 5 star hotels in Rome & they are more luxurious, better appointed, stronger customer service, nicer amenities, and better breakfast. The toilet has broken 3X in 12 hours, sounds like construction started at 7am & just hasn’t stopped. They refuse to refund the rest of our stay, only mov...

We would come back! Wonderful service, beautiful rooms. We ate at two of the three restaurants and were never disappointed. Staff were prompt, patient, kind, and fluent in English and Italian. Everything was clean and the stay was comfortable and luxurious. Location was perfect for walking to key sites and taxis were fast and easily accessed if going further. Don't miss taking a stroll through Vil...

It’s difficult to fully encapsulate our experience at this hotel in a few words, but I’ll try: From the moment you arrive here, you feel like the staff is very happy to see you and have you here. We booked this through Chase’s “the edit” program, which offers free breakfast and room upgrades, so YMMV on those, but overall the experience here is so good that it doesn’t really matter how you get he...

The hotel’s common areas were lovely, but the rooms didn’t meet a 5-star standard. Our room was heavily fragranced on arrival, though the smell lessened after the first night. The shower took over five minutes to warm up, the toilet ran, and the AC wouldn’t go below 21°C, making the first night uncomfortably warm. We also noticed mold and pink stains in the shower grout. The bar was closed for two...

I had the pleasure of spending two unforgettable nights at Hotel Splendide Royal, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt as if I had been transported into a world of timeless elegance and intimacy. The room was beautifully designed—spacious, refined, and filled with small details that made it feel pe...

Although we didn’t stay at the hotel, we feel compelled to share our terrible experience at the Rooftop Bar. €24 for an Aperol that should be somewhere between €6 and €12? €35 for a glass of wine that shouldn’t be more than €12 to €15? Inedible “on the house” treats and very average service. Based on what others have recently shared about their stays, we’re not surprised!
