- Noise: When air conditioning is insufficient, guests resorting to opening windows have sometimes been disturbed by street noise.
- High Cost without Inclusions: The high price point is occasionally a point of contention, especially when coupled with extra charges for services like breakfast.
- Staff Behavior: One isolated incident mentioned a valet attendant cursing at guests, though this appears to be an anomaly given the overwhelmingly positive feedback on staff.

The hotel has historic charm while still providing modern amenities. The decor in the common areas is reflects the history of the area. The front desk staff are very polite, professional, and efficient. Room 323 is a larger room (see photos), and it was comfortable and quiet.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about the Hanover Inn and their incredible team for helping make our wedding day absolutely perfect. From start to finish, everything was seamless. Brendan Bellanger, the catering manager, and Rick Thorpe went above and beyond to ensure every detail was just right. They were incredibly attentive, professional, and kind—especially when it came to accommodating ...

The rooms are great but the staff, especially Will and Ramon are 5 star plus! Absolutely outstanding service. They go above and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable in the hotel. The restaurant is also lovely and has a great atmosphere.

Lovely hotel right across from Dartmouth campus. Expensive during busy weekends, but very convenient and with excellent service. We were upgraded to an enormous suite which was a lovely surprise and very comfortable and well-appointed. Pine restaurant was delicious and great service, though they were out of several dishes on the menu.

The room itself was immaculate and had a sitting area that was so comfortable. We had breakfast at the hotel both mornings and everything was delicious. Highly recommend the ricotta pancakes. It was our fist stay at the Inn and look...
