It's recognized as a top choice for discerning travelers seeking a memorable experience in Riga.

2. Key Highlights

Guests consistently love the Dome Hotel & Spa for its exceptional service and staff, the quality and unique design of its rooms, and its unbeatable location within Riga's Old Town. The hotel's ability to blend a 400-year-old historical building with modern accommodations is a significant draw. Other highlights include the fantastic fine-dining restaurant, a tranquil private spa with a rooftop sauna offering city views, and an outstanding breakfast. The atmosphere is described as "tranquil chic" and "cozy luxury."

3. Room Quality

The hotel offers 15 individually decorated rooms and suites, each reflecting a heady mix of contemporary cool and classic upper-crust gentility. Rooms are well-equipped with modern amenities such as air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, mini-bars, safes, and Illy coffee machines, along with Nespresso machines and Bluetooth speakers in some. Comfort is paramount, with king-size beds fitted with Egyptian linens, custom-made furniture, and wood-paneled walls. Some guests noted unique room features, such as glass-walled bathrooms in some suites, described as a "surreal but fascinating treat", and some rooms having four steps between the sleeping area and the bathroom.

4. Dining Experience

The hotel's LeDome Restaurant is a standout, offering French-accented fine dining and an impressive first-class wine list, often cited as one of the best restaurants in Riga. The culinary philosophy focuses on retaining the natural flavor of the best local ingredients. Breakfast is consistently lauded as "tremendous," "outstanding," and "very good," featuring both buffet and à la carte options, sometimes including breakfast canapés and sparkling wine. The hotel is also conveniently located near vibrant nightlife, renowned dining options, shopping centers, design boutiques, and bars. While public parking is available nearby, it incurs a daily charge of EUR 30. An airport shuttle service is also offered for an additional fee.

7. Value & Pricing

Rollaway beds are available for EUR 70 per night.

8. Common Complaints

While reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few minor points of criticism have been noted. Some guests felt the lobby was "low-key" and not fully indicative of the quality and aesthetic found in the rooms. One review mentioned a "lackluster" experience with a disinterested bartender in the lounge bar. The presence of 4 steps between the room and bathroom in some accommodations might be a consideration for guests with mobility concerns. Additionally, while the private spa facilities are highly praised, some reviews from prior years noted the absence of a fitness center or a pool.

In a great location in Old Town! hotel was very nice and clean, sauna for use on the top floor was nice. Very friendly staff. Only complaint was the bathroom - the way it was laid out was not ideal. The door to the shower was an issue - got stuck a couple of times and the way things were placed made it less functional. Rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was good. Would stay again!

We only ate in the restaurant but it was superb. The tasting menu was beautifully balanced and the experience was adapted for this demanding (not really but…) pescatarian alcohol free guest. The vegetarian beetroot alternative to the foie gras/caviar/gold leaf dish was quite one of the most beautiful plates of food I’ve ever seen. The service was charming and smooth. One little thing, just as we w...

What a Gem! So glad I found this boutique hotel right in the heart of “old town” Riga. Only a handful of rooms, each unique and very nicely appointed. Elevator or stairs to get you to the rooftop bar that’s open seasonally. breakfast is amazing in the Michelin rated restaurant downstairs. The service by the front desk was terrific as well, always helpful with transportation or other advice.

I am very happy with their service! They are dog friendly, their restaurant can accomodate people with dogs in separate room. Service is friendly, if you have special requests, they can help. Absolutely happy! They will give you welcome drink while you wait for check in, nice move!

Booked the most expensive suite for a getaway with my partner after cancer treatment. No hot water for the first night, no apologies with staff, no compensation. To pay so much you would expext a level of service and at least compensation when something goes wrong. Tried to follow up on email after the stay and never got any reply. Would not reconmend to stay here unless you want to over pay for a...

Oh my! What a beautiful hotel! Our Junior suite was so roomy & beautifully decorated. Breakfast was scrumptious. And, best of all, were the lovely women who keep the place humming. A special shoutout to Agnes, at reception, who was charming, helpful & welcoming. We cannot wholeheartedly recommend the perfectly-located Dome for your stay in Riga.
