8. Common Complaints

While reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few minor recurring issues have been mentioned:

  • Location Noise (limited): One guest noted the location can be "fairly noisy" due to proximity to a ring road, though rooms are generally well-insulated.
  • Room Amenities: A couple of guests mentioned the lack of a coffee machine in the room, finding it an unexpected omission for a 5-star property, and one experienced non-functioning jets in a bath.
  • Evening Staffing/Restaurant Availability: One review indicated a "serious lack of sufficient staffing" in the evening, with only one person at the front desk handling multiple duties. This also led to issues with the bar being closed and the restaurant (other than breakfast) not being available for dinner without prior reservations, causing inconvenience for late arrivals.
  • Concierge Communication: One guest found the concierge services, reachable only via WhatsApp messages, to be less helpful and somewhat impersonal.
  • Linen Quality: A singular comment suggested the linen "needs a serious makeover" and was not up to 5-star standards.

Beautiful comfortable hotel. Rooms were very nice, beds comfortable, washrooms a good size and had nice fixtures. The spa was really neat as well! The location is the only thing that lets it down as it’s fairly noisy but overall the rooms are pretty well insulated from the noise. They also do have on site parking which is a big plus!

The breakfast and the restaurant were great (try the artichoke salad!). They have a spa that I didn’t use,...
