Guests frequently describe their stays as "fabulous," "wonderful," "top-notch," and "luxurious," highlighting a strong sentiment of satisfaction and a desire to return.

2. Key Highlights

Guests consistently laud several aspects of the hotel:

  • Service & Staff: The staff receives nearly universal acclaim for being "super nice," "extremely responsive," "friendly," "exceptional," "welcoming," and "helpful." Their attentive and personalized approach significantly enhances the guest experience.
  • Location: The hotel's prime waterfront position on Obala palih omladinaca in the city center is a major draw. It offers breathtaking views of the Šibenik channel and is within easy walking distance of major attractions like St. James Cathedral, Sibenik Town Hall, and the winding streets of the old town. It's also less than 0.6 miles (1 km) from Banj Beach.
  • Design: The hotel masterfully blends traditional Dalmatian architecture with sophisticated contemporary design. Rooms seamlessly integrate exposed 18th-century stone walls, which are original to the Dominican monastery and old town fish market the hotel now occupies, with modern furnishings and subdued neutral tones. Monastery artifacts from the 15th to 17th centuries, including columns and old stone sinks, are displayed throughout, adding to its unique heritage.
  • Amenities: Thoughtful amenities contribute to a comfortable stay. Many rooms include a free mini-bar with non-alcoholic drinks. Apartment-style residences may feature the added luxury of a hot tub or sauna. The property also offers private parking (for a fee), free WiFi, family rooms, non-smoking rooms, a 24-hour front desk, concierge service, and an electric vehicle charging station.

3. Room Quality

The rooms and residences are described as "beautifully decorated," "clean," "comfortable," "spacious," and "stylish." Guests appreciate the blend of historical elements, such as the old rock walls, with modern comforts. Each room is air-conditioned and includes a private bathroom, work desk, and free WiFi. Bathrooms are often highlighted for their large showers and good quality toiletries (e.g., Rituals). Rooms come with views of either the sea or the old town.

4. Dining Experience

The dining experience at Armerun is a significant highlight, particularly the breakfast.

  • Breakfast: Consistently praised as "fantastic," "outstanding," "mind-blowing," and "one of the best ever." Guests appreciate the fresh-cooked, varied options and the excellent service. The hotel's restaurant, Buta, is known for its superb breakfast, offering around thirty gastronomic specialties from various world cuisines, prepared with seasonal and local ingredients.
  • Restaurants: The hotel features two restaurants, Bronzin and Buta. Bronzin serves traditional grilled dishes, while Buta offers a modern interpretation of Dalmatian cuisine. Guests have enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the hotel's restaurant, finding the food "delicious" and "great." There is also an outdoor terrace with sunset views of the Šibenik channel.

The hotel also provides private parking (for a fee) and bicycle parking, and guests note the convenience of parking directly in front of the building. The location also serves as an ideal base for exploring nearby Krka National Park and the Kornati Islands.

Prices for a superior room can be around $130 nightly, while a standard room might be $150, and deluxe rooms around $168. Presidential and luxury three-bedroom apartments can be significantly higher. March is noted as the cheapest month to stay, with August being the most expensive.
  • Value: Despite the luxury pricing, guests generally feel it is "worth the cost," with many stating they "couldn't fault it." The exceptional service, prime location, and high-quality amenities contribute to a perceived excellent value for money. The hotel's "Value for money" score is rated at 9.3 out of 10.

8. Common Complaints

While overwhelmingly positive, a few minor points can be inferred:

  • Parking: While available, self-parking incurs a daily fee (around EUR 25) and has limited spots and height restrictions. Guests are advised to reserve parking in advance.

One of the BEST hotels we ever stayed. The service was impeccable! The front desk staff was very friendly, attentive, and beyond helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect as well - right on the water, but still tucked away a bit to allow for quiet. Our room was clean, beautifully decorated and also had a pampering jacuzzi with bath salts (in addition to the regular bathroom/shower. The bed was...

I can't praise this hotel well enough. Our room faced the sea which was charming and relaxing. The bathroom was modern, the bed comfortable. High level maintenance. The hotel is a renovated monastery with artifacts from the 15th century. Maria at the front desk couldn't have been nicer - just love her! Wonderful service and location is on the sea front just below the old town. A real gem!

Where am I? In a 17th century movie that’s where. This place is truly breathtaking. Book the terrace room, enjoy your wine on the terrace overlooking a picturesque street. We checked in and the hostess brought our bags up to our room for us. First class service.
