  • Location: Its central position in Ljubljana's pedestrian-only Old Town, steps from the Ljubljanica River and Main Square, is almost universally lauded.
  • Design: The hotel's bold, modern design, which seamlessly blends four adjoining Baroque townhouses, creates a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere. Reinforced concrete, glass, and steel are contrasted with beguiling curves and geometric shapes.
  • Rooftop Pool & Terrace: A major draw is the rooftop terrace featuring an infinity-edge plunge pool and yoga studio, offering sweeping views over the city and castle.
  • Service: The staff's exceptional, professional, and helpful nature is frequently mentioned as a key highlight.

Rooms are typically described as modern, clean, and comfortable, featuring amenities such as air conditioning, flat-screen satellite TVs, minibars, and private bathrooms. Some rooms offer city, landmark, or river views. While many guests find the beds very comfy and the decor beautiful, some have noted rooms can be small, and there have been occasional criticisms regarding old or frayed towels, dirty curtains, or carpeting. Specific room design choices, such as a glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom, have been mentioned as unusual by some guests.

4. Dining Experience

The hotel's dining experience is generally well-received.

  • Breakfast: Guests frequently praise the breakfast as "very good" and "the best hotel breakfast" they've experienced, often highlighting the extensive selection and à la carte options. • Restaurant (HAUS Restaurant & à la carte restaurant): Vander Urbani Resort boasts an on-site restaurant serving local cuisine and gourmet snacks, with a clear influence from Slovenian culinary traditions and agricultural abundance. The HAUS restaurant offers a relaxed, budget-friendly option with modern Slovene dishes, while an à la carte restaurant provides a fine dining experience with seasonal menus and exquisite ingredients from local markets. The hotel also has a wine cellar with an extensive selection of Slovenian and international wines.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Ljubljana. Very stylish and modern, but needs a bit of updating on the room. The carpet and curtains are stained and the tv is old but it’s literally one second from the city centre. Surrounded by cafés, restaurants, bars, and shopping unbeatable location. The restaurant and bars are all on the ground floor, creating a great atmosphere. The hotel has 3 floors with ...

Our room was a bit of a sauna (hot) but the location and staff were amazing! Walkout your door right into the heart of old town and restaurants. They went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. I would highly recommend staying here.
