Rooms are described as luxurious, cozy, and well-kept, maintaining a traditional Norwegian character with modern amenities. They feature classic Scandinavian design, minimalist aesthetics, natural wood and stone finishes, and often include fireplaces. Bathrooms are well-appointed, frequently noted for their wonderful heated floors. Each room typically has large windows framing either forest or fjord views, with many offering private balconies or terraces.

4. Dining Experience

The dining experience at Storfjord Hotel is a significant draw. The "Kitchen" restaurant serves an unpretentious yet exquisite four-course fine-dining experience nightly, focusing on locally sourced ingredients, with Chef Florian Harnisch often foraging for fresh produce within a few kilometers. Guests speak highly of the "incredible" food, with special mention of fresh seafood, wild game, and seasonal vegetables, along with excellent wine pairings.

Breakfast is a lavish and nicely curated buffet, featuring Norwegian specialties such as artisanal cheeses, smoked salmon, brown cheese, fresh pastries, homemade jams, and a variety of hot dishes. Unique dining experiences are also offered, such as rustic dinners cooked over fire in a "Lavvo" tent in the woods or intimate meals in the waterfront boathouse. While there isn't a dedicated bar, the staff are happy to serve cocktails and other drinks in any of the cozy lounges or outdoor seating areas.

5. Service & Staff

The service at Storfjord Hotel is consistently lauded as exceptional and highly personalized. Guests describe the staff as "kind," "accommodating," "attentive yet unobtrusive," and "friendly but always professional." 10/10 on all fronts. Service, attention to detail, beauty, the wellness area.. i could go on. An absolute must, take a detour if needed, when planning a holiday in norway. We especially loved Victoria who was so lovely and somehow anticipated and fulfilled every need we had. Thank you for everything.

We sat down in the garden and enjoyed the view of the fjord. After that we tried the spa area with jacuzzi a...

Every moment was thoughtful, peaceful, and beautifully done. The entire team made us feel so cared for and genuinely special, like we were the only two people in the world that weekend. The service and hospitality were unmatched, the food was incredible,...
