7. Value & Pricing
Guests generally consider Residence Hilda to offer good value, especially given its prime location and comprehensive services. Comments suggest it is "very economical for what it offered" and, while "pricey, to be fair, so are the equivalents." Typical nightly prices start from approximately US$171-$200, excluding taxes and fees. The inclusion of fully equipped kitchens and daily maid service adds significant value for travelers looking for more independence without sacrificing comfort.
8. Common Complaints
While overwhelmingly positive, a few isolated criticisms have surfaced:
- Limited Reception Hours: The reception is closed between certain hours (e.g., 11 pm to 7 am or 7 am to 7 pm), requiring guests to inform the hotel in advance for late arrivals. However, staff are always available on call or via WhatsApp for assistance.
- Isolated Negative Experience: One review mentioned issues with noisy old air-conditioning, a "depressing white wall" view, a missed shower gel replacement, and perceived arrogant management regarding after-hours arrival. This seems to be an outlier given the vast number of positive reviews.
- No Communal Areas: Beyond the reception, there are no public spaces, which might be a consideration for travelers seeking more social interaction within their accommodation.
- Pillow Preference: One guest expressed a desire for softer pillows.

Wonderful hotel. Excellent, friendly and helpful staff - even after I failed to read the access/key entry instructions. Great location! Near food, restaurants, small market, atmosphere. Very clean room with nicely upgraded bathroom. I recommend and will definitely stay again!

Just to reply your comment on our stay! The room was comfortable, but the overall experience was disappointing. The staff were generally indifferent, and most concerning was that housekeeping removed our personal items without permission. I always forget to do reviews. Where do i start with this? We stayed in February. Me, my wife, and daughter. Its spotless, has all the facilities you could need. Comfortable, quiet, lovely, friendly staff. But to be honest, all this ignore the location. The only possibly better location may be heaven itself. I'm not so bothered about travelling nowadays, maybe its since covid. I've been to Floren...

What a beautiful way to park yourself in Florence. We spent 4 nights there. It was a great location within reasonable walking distance to nearly everything we wanted to see. Hauling a large suitcase to/from the train station wasn't easy so we took a taxi when leaving (and the wonderful women at the front desk arranged the taxi for us). Lots of room to spread out, great kitchen and table area, so w...
