1. Overall Rating & Sentiment

Poli House generally receives an overwhelmingly positive sentiment from guests, with many describing it as "excellent," "superb," and "wonderful." The hotel is often referred to as a "trendy oasis" in the heart of Tel Aviv, with many satisfied guests eager to return. Review scores for location, staff, and comfort are particularly high.

2. Key Highlights

Guests consistently highlight several standout features of Poli House:

  • Service: The staff's impeccable, friendly, and outstanding hospitality is frequently mentioned.
  • Location: Its central position in Tel Aviv is a major draw, offering easy access to key attractions.
  • Design: The hotel's unique and stylish design, by Karim Rashid, which blends contemporary elegance with the building's Art Deco history, captivates many visitors.
  • Amenities: The heated rooftop infinity pool and bar, offering panoramic city views, is a particular favorite. A spa with a sauna, hot tub, and treatment rooms also adds to the appeal.

3. Room Quality

Poli House offers 40 beautifully designed rooms and suites, ranging from Classic Double Rooms to Junior Suites. The rooms are described as comfortable and stylish, featuring modern decor and attention to detail. Each unit is air-conditioned and comes equipped with a flat-screen TV, mini-bar, laptop-sized safe, work desk, and complimentary fast Wi-Fi. Private bathrooms include bathrobes, slippers, and free toiletries. While some guests note that standard rooms can be petite, typical for a city-center location, they are thoughtfully designed. Some rooms also feature balconies or seating areas.

4. Dining Experience

While Poli House does not have a full in-house kitchen or restaurant, breakfast is served daily until midday at a nearby café, such as Loveat. This arrangement allows guests to immerse themselves in Tel Aviv's local food scene. Room service is available for cold plates and snacks. The rooftop bar, however, is a vibrant spot offering a selection of drinks and small food dishes from the Crodo Bar, all set against a panoramic city backdrop.

5. Service & Staff

The staff at Poli House consistently receives glowing reviews for their hospitality, often described as "outstanding," "exceptional," and "extremely attentive and friendly." Guests frequently commend specific individuals like Olga, Dalia, Moshe, Matan, Michaela, and Shoval from the reception team for their helpfulness and for going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, including assisting with recommendations, bookings, and even late check-outs.

6. Location & Accessibility

Poli House boasts an "excellent" and "prime location" in the heart of Tel Aviv City Center, at the crossroads of Nahalat Binyamin, Sheinkin, and Allenby streets. It offers unparalleled access to major attractions such as the bustling Carmel Market (just a 2-minute walk), the bi-weekly Nachalat Binyamin Crafts Fair, Dizengoff Centre, and the vibrant Neve Tzedek neighborhood. The beach is also within a short walking distance. The hotel is well-connected to public transport, with nearby access to bus stops and railway stations like Tel Aviv HaShalom. Ben Gurion Airport is approximately a 25-minute taxi ride away.

7. Value & Pricing

Poli House is positioned as "affordable luxury," offering "exceptional value for money" with an average room price around $255, which is competitive compared to the Tel Aviv average of $241. While some guests acknowledge that hotel prices in Tel Aviv can be high, they still find the experience at Poli House to be worth the cost, particularly appreciating the design and amenities. Typical rates vary, with classic rooms starting from approximately ₪420 and special packages going up to ₪1441 per night.

8. Common Complaints

Despite the high praise, some recurring criticisms include:

  • Noise: Due to its central location on a busy street, some guests report noise disturbances, especially at night, citing that windows may not be perfectly soundproof.
  • Room Size: Smaller room sizes are sometimes mentioned, which is a common characteristic of boutique hotels in prime urban locations.
  • Bathroom Functionality: Some guests have noted issues with bathroom design, such as the shower door not fully containing water, leading to leakage, and limited counter space for toiletries.
  • Rooftop Pool Seating: The popular rooftop pool can get crowded, and the availability of lounge chairs might be limited, particularly during peak times.
  • Dining Limitations: The lack of an in-house kitchen for cooked meals means breakfast is at an adjacent café, and room service is limited to cold items.
  • Parking: Finding parking can be a challenge for guests arriving by car.

This is a stylish, contemporary hotel in a very central location within Tel Aviv. I wasn’t a resident here but I enjoyed an afternoon at the rooftop pool and bar. I also used the spa facilities including sauna and jacuzzi. The cocktails are reasonably good and fairly priced. The views from the pool are great and you can see all the way to the beach and over the sea. The communal areas may benefit ...

The room was nice and big enough for staying comfortably in two. The swimming pool on the rooftop is super nice while the sauna would probably need a bit of renovation. The modern style of the Hotel is super charming an...

The little touches and amenities are very nice, the view from the pool is lovely at sunset, and the hot sauna was a convenient feature. All the front desk people I encountered were really friendly, kind, and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel if you want to be in the middle of all th...

A very cool hotel close to lots of restaurants, the wonderful Carmel market and a short walk to beach area. Staff were absolutely lovely. Room was great and very clean. However it needed more sound proofing to the window/balcony as it was very noisy from the bars opposite (take ear plugs!). Roof bar/pool was very relaxing and the staff up there were always friendly and helpful. Loved the choice ...
