An urban ryokan oasis blending new and old in a very stylish way. Apparently the building is a 100 year old carpenters workshop which has been converted to a ryokan. A lot of the old timbers and materials are exposed and celebrated yet the experience is elevated with luxurious new materials and amenities. The room we had is spacious with all the modern conveniences including a giant tub resembling...

I stayed at this location with my fiancé and two of our friends in October of 2025 and it was truly the highlight of our entire trip to Japan. I have been meaning to leave a review for a few months, and found myself thinking of this amazing experience while taking a break from wedding planning so I decided now was the time! I have a lot of amazing things to say about this spot, but if you read no...

Traditional rooms were great, spacious and relaxing. Breakfast was amazing (surprisingly big portions) and services include massages which is available until midnight. However what was disappointing is the onsen which was the main reason why I stayed here. I couldn't use this properly as the water was dirty (I found hair from another guest) which ruined the experience for me. The rooms are also ...

Literally didn’t want to leave!! Brilliant hotel. Our room has no natural light, which I thought might be an issue, but didn’t dent my love of this place. Wonderful staff, wonderful facilities, easy transport links, great food - even complimentary snacks and free drinks in the evening. They even gave my daughter a good luck charm when they heard she was heading to a competition. Highly recommended...
