SPECIAL, INCREDIBLE GEM OF A HOTEL! I highly recommend you book a stay here. It’s such a special place hidden up a hill yet amongst all you'd need for a relaxing beach trip. Alan, the owner is FABULOUS - makes your stay feel right at home. The rooms are minimalist and chic. Gaby is also an angel and will make you feel so comfortable right away. They have a beautiful breakfast every morning and the...

I stayed here on my own and had a truly peaceful experience. Gaby was a perfect host — warm, welcoming, and attentive without ever being intrusive. Breakfast each morning was delicious and enjoyed in the open-air pavilion, surrounded by nature and quiet. The property itself is exceptionally calm and thoughtfully designed, making it ideal for rest, reflection, and slowing down. Housekeeping was co...

We had a great stay at the beautiful Monte Uzulu hotel. The room was incredible, with amazing sea views and an open bathroom. Service (Gaby was on hand, or easy to reach on what’s app during our stay) & breakfast were great. Location was perfect for strolling down to San Augustinillo beach. One piece of feedback is to have a small sign to indicate where the hotel is from the street. Would definite...

Thank you Monte Uzulu for welcoming our Hola Sol yoga retreat this past November. The staff is amazing and Gaby went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional. The hotel is in a great central location with great proximity to the beach, the staff 10/10 and the food was delicious (especially the breakfast smoothies). A perfect venue for a group retreat. I only wish the rooms were ...

I had such an incredible solo 4 days at Monte Uzulu. The grounds and the rooms are so beautiful. Gaby is such an angel and anticipated every need before I even had the chance to ask. The breakfast was gorgeous and fresh and all the staff in general were so kind and always with a smile. The location was in a more peaceful part of town but very walkable to mazunte and the beach was just on the doors...

Maybe one of the best places I've stayed at in Mexico. Truly hidden gem at the Oaxacan Coast. You feel like you're in a paradise tree boutique hotel. Right in the middle of nature). Walking distance to the beach, coffee shops and restaurants. Will definitely come back and stay longer than one night :)

Response from the owner

Thank you for such lovely praise. We are glad that our love of nature and the coast shows through. Please come back! We will love welcoming you again.
