It doesn't look like much is going on in Meisenheim. Every picture on Google don't have people in it. Some where along the way, my ancestors left there before even WW1. Not because of draft, I'm assuming because nothing much was going on there then either?

Short version: The hotel rooms are modernized, basic, and clean, in beautiful Hof environment. Hotel reception, breakfast, and checkout are understaffed and overwhelmed. Restaurant service and ambiance are likewise not ready for prime time. The food is Michelin Star-worthy. So: go only in a small group, at least for now, and do not expect typical Michelin-level service or environment. Long versio...

We enjoyed our third stay in this absolute gem as much as before. The local kitchen from Chef Markus is fine and delicious, and the room is very comfortable. We keep coming back over and over again!

We had a wonderful weekend with our dog here, including an outstanding surprise menu with corresponding wine pairing. Perfect wine selection and the food was just on another level. The adjacent cafe and wine store are also worth visiting!!!

I reserved a suite with sitting area and bathroom and when I arrived was given a room and a shared bathroom. Please see attached pictures. Clerk was unhelpful and told me they were full and asked where I made the reservation - I showed her the confirmation from their own website….
