Leeda's Village in Zakynthos, Greece, a distinguished Michelin Key One-Key property, consistently receives high praise for its serene ambiance, exceptional hospitality, and authentic Greek experience. This charming retreat, built from restored stone amidst ancient olive groves, offers guests a tranquil escape with a strong connection to nature and local traditions.
1. Overall Rating & Sentiment
Leeda's Village garners an overwhelmingly positive sentiment, reflected in its high guest ratings, including a "Superb" 9.4 score from over a hundred reviews on Booking.com and an "Exceptional" 10/10 on Expedia. Guests frequently describe it as a "fairytale-like" village, praising its cozy and relaxing atmosphere.
2. Key Highlights
Guests consistently laud Leeda's Village for several standout features. The "rustic chic" design and beautiful setting among ancient olive trees and fragrant gardens are frequently mentioned. The property's stunning views, often including the sea and Turtle Island, are a major draw. The farm-to-table dining experience, with homegrown and outstanding food, is another significant highlight. Exceptional hospitality and the friendly, caring staff are also key to guests' positive experiences. The serene and quiet environment offers a complete escape from more touristic areas.
3. Room Quality
The accommodations at Leeda's Village are described as comfortable, cool, and spacious, featuring interiors with traditional style elements like terracotta tiling and vaulted ceilings. Each room, whether a family room or a villa, includes air-conditioning, a private bathroom, and a balcony or terrace, often boasting garden or sea views. Villas are built with restored stone, some dating back to the 19th century, and feature intricately designed terracotta tiles. Amenities typically include a TV, tea-making kit, Nespresso machine, and Olivia bath products. The Grand Villa offers additional luxuries such as a private pool and a Jacuzzi on the upstairs veranda. Reviewers note the rooms are kept impeccably clean.
4. Dining Experience
The on-site "Zefki Leeda's Slow Living Restaurant" is a major draw, emphasizing a true farm-to-table philosophy. The majority of ingredients are sourced directly from Leeda's own organic farm, ensuring freshness and seasonality. Guests rave about the "homegrown and outstanding" food, with particular mentions of excellent dinners and delicious breakfasts served à la carte. The restaurant's setting, often with beautiful views, enhances the dining experience, described as replicating family dinners.
5. Service & Staff
The hospitality at Leeda's Village is consistently highlighted as exceptional. Guests frequently commend the staff, including the owner, for being incredibly friendly, helpful, attentive, and professional. They are noted for providing a warm welcome, assisting with reservations and local tips, and going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, sometimes even delivering fresh produce from the farm to guests' villas. The team is praised for making guests feel well-cared for from the moment of arrival.
6. Location & Accessibility
Leeda's Village is nestled in Lithakia, a traditional and serene village in Zakynthos, embraced by endless olive groves. It offers a quiet retreat away from the more crowded tourist areas, while still being conveniently located. The property is approximately 7 km (4.3 miles) from Zakynthos International Airport and a short walk from Koukla Beach. Zakynthos Town is about a 15-minute drive away. Due to its secluded nature and the island's attractions, a car is recommended for guests to explore. It is important to note that the property is not suitable for those with limited mobility due to its rough terrain.
7. Value & Pricing
While some guests find the overall pricing on Zakynthos to be high, Leeda's Village is generally considered to offer good value for money, with its unique experience justifying the cost. Prices for a one-night stay typically start from around $165.78 or €143.10. The personalized service, farm-to-table dining, and beautiful, tranquil setting contribute to the perceived value.
8. Common Complaints
While reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few minor criticisms have surfaced. One guest felt that the "Studio" room specifically was not entirely on par with the overall high standard of the rest of Leeda's Village. Another mentioned having to drive through the more bustling area of Laganas to reach the tranquil location and expressed a slight commercial sentiment regarding the price of the hotel's homegrown olive oil. Additionally, the property's terrain means it is not ideal for guests with limited mobility.

Leeda's village is such a charming place set in a beautiful olive grove. Everything has been wonderful - from the charming stone villas which were very clean and contemporary furnished to the delicious food served at the pool with a view of the sea. The staff was so friendly and helpful - Irina went over the top to assist us in any way. Thanks for the great time - we will certainly be back!

Upon arrival we received great service and a warm welcome from Effe. Throughout our week long stay we were treated kindly and with exceptional customer service. However I was slightly displeased with the waiting times at the restaurant and grew impatient at times. Apart from this we had an amazing stay and we would definitely visit again.

Effie is amazing! So are all the rest of the staff and the owner. They make you feel like family. Was a wonderful family vacation and cannot recommend enough. The only downside for me was super slow internet (3.5mbps) but for some that might be a saving grace if on a short work leash. Food was amazing and priced fairly. A true hidden gem and we shall be back.

We loved everything! Beautiful, romantic, peaceful and harmonious place. Food in restaurant for dinner was truly the best we had in Greece. It’s not cheap, but so worth it. Their homemade limoncello is really good! Only things that were missing is an area for kids to play with a slide or something and some little things like hooks to hang your towels on in the apartments. Other than that, we loved...

Calm with lovely gardens, a lovely swimming pool, very good break...
