The food is lauded as exceptional, divine, and "nothing short of perfection". The restaurant specializes in French cuisine, utilizing fresh, seasonal ingredients primarily sourced from its own kitchen gardens. The menu caters to various dietary needs, offering vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. Breakfast is comprehensive, with continental, à la carte, and full English/Irish choices available. Location & Accessibility

Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons is nestled in Great Milton, a picturesque Oxfordshire village, offering a tranquil countryside retreat. While offering seclusion, it remains accessible to several notable attractions. It's approximately 13 km (8.1 miles) from Notley Abbey, 19 km (12 miles) from the University of Oxford, and 26 km (16 miles) from Blenheim Palace. The hotel is about a 50-minute drive from London Heathrow Airport and an hour from central London by car. For those preferring public transport, train services run from London Marylebone to Haddenham and Thame station (10 minutes from the hotel) or from Paddington to Oxford station (25 minutes from the hotel). The extensive gardens and surrounding natural beauty provide ample opportunities for peaceful walks and exploration.

Value & Pricing

Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons is recognized as a high-end luxury property, and its pricing reflects this exclusivity. Overnight stays typically start from around £1,040 per room, including breakfast. Dining experiences are also significantly priced, with a meal for two, including wine and service, potentially reaching £400, or a tasting menu with premium wine pairing nearing £1,000 for two. Despite the substantial cost, many guests feel the unparalleled experience, meticulous service, and exceptional quality make it "entirely priceless" and worth the investment for special occasions and unforgettable memories. The "value for money" is rated highly at 8.7 by some guests.

Common Complaints

While overwhelmingly positive, the most frequently discussed "criticism" or point of consideration for guests is the high price point. However, this is often tempered by the consensus that the experience justifies the cost, making it an investment in luxury and memory-making rather than a simple transaction. Although not a guest complaint, one employee review noted a lack of growth opportunities for certain roles within the hotel. While a gym and pool were not historically part of the amenities, a spa with a pool was reportedly planned for 2023.

Our experience with Le Manoir was nothing short of extraordinary. From the very first time we reached out about hosting our elopement there, we knew we were in the best possible hands. Every single member of their team, from the front of house staff to our event planner Jenny, the in-house florist Emma, the chefs and pastry chef Luke and Benoit, the sommelier went completely above and beyond to m...

We had a celebration for a birthday last night. Everything started great. Some nice champagne then given the menu's. We chose the 7 course tasting menu but opted to avoid their pre-chosen wine lists as it would be too much alcohol and I preferred other wines on the general list. Then it started to go wrong. No one asked for our wine choices and no one asked what options we wanted from the menu. O...

The staff fell over themselves to help us. Nothing was too trivial or too much trouble. From the second we walked into the reception, we felt special and that continued throughout our stay. As a lifetime achievement, Raymond Blanc has guided, directed and finessed the most perfect hotel stay I'm ever likely to experience. His taste, whimsey and attention to detail are exceptional. No wonder RB is adored by staff and long-standing customers alike. Salut Chef, salut.

We stayed 2 nights just before Christmas 2024. The food and service was excellent, as you would expect of a hotel with this reputation. What is unique however is how Raymond Blanc has influenced everything, from the gardens and decor, the menu (obviously) but also the whole ethos. This must have been a decades long project, and it’s wonderful to have shared in it, however briefly.
