Infinity Resort Tropea, a Michelin Key Selected property, consistently garners high praise for its breathtaking location, exceptional service, and serene atmosphere, making it a standout choice on the Calabrian coast.

Overall Rating & Sentiment

The general consensus for Infinity Resort Tropea is overwhelmingly positive, with guests frequently describing their stays as "excellent," "fabulous," and a "beautiful experience". Review platforms indicate strong satisfaction, with an average score of 8.6 out of 10 ("Fabulous") on Booking.com and 8.4 out of 10 ("Very Good") on Priceline, based on hundreds of reviews. The resort is highly recommended for those seeking a quiet, relaxing, and comfortable retreat.

Key Highlights

Guests consistently laud several aspects of Infinity Resort Tropea:

  • Stunning Location & Views: Perched on a headland, the resort offers panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and spectacular sunsets, particularly from its rooftop lounge and cliffside restaurant terrace.
  • Infinity Pool & Private Beach: The resort features an enchanting panoramic sea-view infinity pool, which is a major draw. It also boasts private access to the "Infinity Cove," a secluded, natural rocky beach equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds.
  • Exceptional Service: The staff is frequently highlighted as "amazing," "welcoming," "friendly," "helpful," "professional," and "efficient," contributing significantly to a wonderful stay.
  • Relaxing Ambiance: The resort creates a sense of peace and is praised for its quiet and tranquil environment, ideal for relaxation.
  • Excellent Facilities: Guests appreciate the overall quality and maintenance of the resort's facilities, including its well-kept grounds and pool area.

Room Quality

The rooms at Infinity Resort Tropea are described as luxurious, spacious, and clean. They are air-conditioned and typically include a balcony or private terrace, with some offering sea views. Bathrooms are well-appointed, often featuring a large tub or rain shower. Room amenities usually include a TV and hairdryer. While generally comfortable, one guest noted that the bed could be "a bit too firm".

Dining Experience

The dining experience at Infinity Resort Tropea receives mixed but generally positive feedback, with breakfast being a consistent highlight.

  • Breakfast: The continental breakfast buffet is frequently praised as "great," "outstanding," "fantastic," and "rich with great variety," offering both sweet pastries and savory snacks, including fresh daily products.
  • Restaurant: The resort has a contemporary restaurant, La Veranda, which serves local and international cuisine, specializing in regional Calabrian dishes, particularly fish. The restaurant offers both informal lunches by the sea and refined dinners with stunning views.
  • Other: There is also a poolside bar and a snack bar/deli. While dinner is generally good, some half-board guests found the choices limited, and the à la carte lunch was occasionally noted for a poor quality/price ratio.

Service & Staff

The service and staff are a standout feature of Infinity Resort Tropea. Guests consistently commend the staff for being "amazing," "welcoming," "friendly," "helpful," "professional," and "efficient". The dining and bar staff, in particular, receive specific praise. Location & Accessibility

Infinity Resort Tropea is situated on the beachfront of Parghelia, approximately 1.9 miles (3 km) from the town of Tropea. This location provides a peaceful escape "away from the bustle of Tropea town". The resort is built on a headland, offering a sense of being on an elegant ship sailing towards the horizon. It provides private access to the sea via a nature trail leading to a private rocky cove. However, the terraced nature of the hotel, with its many steps and lack of elevators, means it might be less suitable for guests with limited mobility, young children, or strollers.

Value & Pricing

The resort is generally considered to offer good value for money, with some guests even reporting complimentary room upgrades. Prices can fluctuate significantly by season; June is typically the cheapest month, seeing an average 29% drop, while August is the most expensive with an average 51% rise. Average prices range from around $299 for a weeknight to $147 for a weekend night. Offers from booking sites like Voyage Privé have been highlighted as particularly good value compared to direct hotel prices.

Common Complaints

While overwhelmingly positive, some recurring criticisms include:

  • Accessibility: The hotel's multi-level, terraced design with numerous steps and no elevators can be challenging for guests with mobility issues or those traveling with strollers.
  • Private Beach Suitability: The private rocky beach, though beautiful, may not be ideal for young children or individuals with limited mobility due to its terrain.
  • Dining Consistency: A few guests reported limited choices for half-board dinner and a perceived poor quality/price ratio for à la carte lunch. Contradictory to general praise, some also found the breakfast buffet lacking.
  • Room Issues: Isolated but significant complaints mention structural problems in some rooms, such as a persistent sewage smell, mold, and humidity, which affected comfort.
  • Noise from Neighbors: Occasional loud music from private events at neighboring properties has been reported as a disturbance.
  • Maintenance Issues: There were reports of faulty electronic room keys, air conditioning issues, and strong pool cleaning products affecting skin/eyes. Some guests also noted areas of poorly maintained gardens.
  • Lack of Iron: One guest specifically noted the absence of an iron in the room as an unexpected omission for a hotel of this caliber.

This is how our vacation was, 3 couples with 5 children aged between 1 and 5 years. A vacation of over 6000 euros for 7 days, 6 of which were with parties. They shamelessly lie to the National Authority for Consumer Protection, They say that "the music stops promptly at midnight", attached you have the evidence !!!! We come to relax, the children to rest at night... this is not relaxation, and the...

This hotel was absolutely fab, location is perfect with beautiful sun sets from the rooftop or the private beach. Staff are very attentive and kind. Plenty of space, brilliant food. Easy to get to town and get the train to Tropea. No need to even leave! Would definitely come back. Thank you! Only bad thing was the neighbouring hotel. They sometimes play loud music and repeat the same song for 30 ...

It was a very, very good hotel, I can only recommend it. Very friendly staff, especially Frederica and the cleaning staff are very polite and courteous. The facility is clean and the breakfast is good. The dinner on the other hand is relatively expensive and a little more upmarket. (but you have to try the cheese cake – its very nice :)) We would love to come back! Best regards!

A Perfect Stay in Tropea We had a wonderful 4-night stay at the Infinity Resort in Tropea, and honestly, we wish we could’ve stayed longer. The location was ideal – a peaceful escape from the busy streets, with breathtaking views of the ocean and a private beach just below. From the moment we checked in, the staff was warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. While the rooms were nice, they...

It’s a very nice hotel in a quiet but beautiful location. The rooms were always very clean, we had a view over the sea and the breakfast was always quite pleasant with a wide variety of foods. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The nearest city Parghelia was only 5 minutes away if you walked and Tropea around 30 min walking distance (10 min by car). The hotel itself does not however have ...

This was the second time we stayed at this resort and it was as good as the first time we were there. Rooms are super spacious and very clean, pool grounds well kept (pool water was very warm though); staff were very helpful (especially this time as I made an error in my booking and they were able to accommodate me with no issues). Our room was at the very top so it’s quite a walk down to the bre...
