The room was quite small, especially the bathroom, but still nice and cozy. The breakfast was really good, especially the dessert (don’t ask me what it was). We could rent some bikes which was great and the restaurant for dinner is really special!

We booked the last available room very last minute and such a great option after a long road trip. Breakfast was amazing, the room was stylish, and the location was so good. There was no parking in front of the hotel but just around the corner you could park for free.

Possibly the best food I’ve had in Sweden so far! You can see that a lot of care has gone into the preparation. The homemade sourdough breads and flavoured butters change every night and the flavour combinations are sometimes surprising but go very well! Highly recommended!

The restaurant at the hotel offers Michelin-starred dishes that showcase the best of Öland - from natural to farmed to wild ingredients, even served on locally produced dinnerware. Thoughtful, adventurous, and exquisite. A cherry-on-top-experience to an amazing visit to the island.

Disclaimer: this review is only for the restaurant We took the little menu “Lilla Alvaret” and we were so happy with the food. Everything was delicious. The canapes, the corn soup, the langoustine, the hake fish and the two dessert. It’s a shame this place lost their Michelin star awhile back, hope they can win it back again

We stayed for only one night and would have been happy to stay longer. The breakfast was outrageous - one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever experienced. The locally sourced produce and perfectly cooked egg dish were the stand outs, the egg slow cooked sous vide to just so softness served with truffle butter and flavour packed sides to accompany it … I’ve never seen it before anywhere else!
