While the pricing is on the higher end, guests generally consider it to be worth the cost, emphasizing that the exceptional luxury, service, and amenities justify the expense. Many express that despite the cost, it offers a level of opulence and an unforgettable experience unmatched in Geneva, representing true value for a five-star stay.
8. Common Complaints
While overwhelmingly positive, some minor criticisms have been noted. An older review mentioned the continental breakfast being "limited" although pastries and breads were top-notch. More recent dining reviews for Windows Restaurant occasionally mention that some dishes "lacked flavor (seasoning)" or were "nothing special," though these are isolated comments amidst a flood of praise for the food quality. The cost of drinks at the restaurant has also been noted as expensive by some. These points are relatively minor in the context of the hotel's otherwise stellar reputation.

We really loved this hotel! The staff were wonderful — when our baby was sleeping, they kindly helped us carry the stroller upstairs so we wouldn’t wake him. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast is small, but it has everything you need. The bed was big and very comfortable. Overall, a great stay!

I would like to commend the staff on their exceptional service and professionalism, my rating for the staff would be a 5 star , Unfortunately the afternoon tea was extremely disappointing, and does not meet the standards of a five star hotel. Sandwiches were dry, cheese and tomato completely lacking anything special, at most were somewhat inferior to home-made sandwiches. Mushroom sandwich inedi...

It is a tradition for us to have a Christmas afternoon tea each year at the Hotel d'Angleterre. NEVER AGAIN. Firstly they had no trace of my reservation, and a very pompous man asked 3 times to see it to check, even when we were seated he came to ask me if i hadn't got the wrong hotel. No apologies offered. If you share the tea for 2 there is an option to have a smaller one for slightly less cost...

Absolutely beautiful and luxurious hotel. The location is quiet and close to downtown, easily walkable to mostly everywhere. The service impressed me, the waitstaff went above and beyond to accommodate myself and the large group I was traveling with. Would definitely stay here again for future trips.
